Your Privacy Matters

This page explains what information this website collects, how it is used, and what your rights are. The short version: this is a marketing website. It does not collect, store, or transmit any protected health information (PHI).

What this website does not collect

This website is a marketing and informational site for Beautiful Minds Therapy & Consulting, LLC. It is not a patient portal. It is not used for therapy sessions. It does not collect, store, or transmit any protected health information (PHI) as defined under HIPAA.

No therapy notes, diagnosis information, treatment records, or clinical data of any kind are collected through this website.

What we do collect

Contact form submissions

If you use the contact form on our website, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number (if entered), and your message. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry. It is not shared with third parties or used for marketing purposes.

Analytics data

We collect anonymous analytics data to understand how visitors use this website. This includes page views, which pages are visited most, and which call-to-action buttons are clicked. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify any individual visitor. We use this information to improve the website experience.

Cookies

This website may use cookies for basic session management and analytics functionality. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. They do not contain personal health information. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time, though some website features may not function as expected.

Free tools (assessment and notebook)

The "Is This OCD?" self-assessment and the Spiral Notebook guided journal are completely private. Your responses and entries are processed locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers. Assessment answers disappear when you close the page. Notebook entries are stored in your browser's local storage only and can be deleted by you at any time.

This website integrates with or links to the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy, and we encourage you to review them.

Jane (JaneApp)

Jane is the HIPAA-compliant platform used for scheduling appointments and conducting telehealth sessions. When you click "Book Now" or any scheduling link, you are directed to Jane's platform. Any information you provide through Jane is governed by Jane's privacy policy. Jane is a Business Associate under HIPAA and maintains appropriate safeguards for protected health information.

Mentaya

Mentaya is a third-party service that helps clients check their out-of-network insurance benefits and submit claims for reimbursement. The Mentaya widget on our benefits page is embedded from Mentaya's platform. Any information you enter into the Mentaya widget is processed by Mentaya and governed by Mentaya's privacy policy.

HIPAA and therapy sessions

Therapy sessions with Brianne Birtic, LCSW are conducted through Jane, a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. All clinical communications, treatment records, and protected health information are handled through Jane's secure systems, not through this website.

Your data is not sold to third parties. Period. Information collected through the contact form is used only to respond to your inquiry. Anonymous analytics data is used only to improve this website. We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any personal information with outside parties for marketing purposes.
