Check Your Insurance Benefits

I am an out-of-network provider. That means I do not bill insurance directly, but many clients get significant reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits. Check yours below.

How out-of-network benefits work

1. You pay at time of session

You pay your session fee directly at the time of your appointment. No insurance claims to file before we meet, no waiting for authorization.

2. I provide a superbill upon request

At the end of each month, I can provide a superbill upon request. A superbill is an itemized receipt with all the codes and information your insurance company needs to process a claim. It is your responsibility to request your superbills each month.

3. You submit to your insurance for reimbursement

You submit the superbill to your insurance company, either through Mentaya or your insurance portal. Depending on your plan, you may be reimbursed for a significant portion of the session fee.

Check your benefits

I have partnered with Mentaya, a service that streamlines getting reimbursed for your therapy sessions through out-of-network benefits. Use the tool below to check if you qualify:

How Mentaya works

1. Sign up for Mentaya

Create your account through the link above or after checking your eligibility.

2. Sessions are entered into the platform

After each session, the details are logged in Mentaya for processing.

3. Mentaya submits the claim

They handle the paperwork, follow up with your insurance, and deal with any denials on your behalf.

4. You get reimbursed

Your insurance sends reimbursement directly to you. Mentaya charges a 5% fee per claim, and they guarantee successful submission or a full refund of their fees.

Mentaya is a great option if you have out-of-network benefits, feel overwhelmed by superbills and insurance paperwork, or simply want to skip the hassle. You can also submit superbills on your own if you prefer.

Questions about cost?

What are your fees?

Diagnostic assessment: $250. 45 minute therapy session: $200.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

I do not offer a sliding scale.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your care will cost. This estimate is provided before your first session so there are no surprises. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your estimate, you can dispute the bill. For more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit cms.gov/nosurprises.
